There is a discrepancy between what your Shipping page at checkout says the price is going to be to ship a product, and the actual price your brand pays. Calcurates is working to remove this discrepancy and get your customers paying more accurate shipping rates so that you don't have to eat the difference, thus increasing your margins.

You can setup free shipping options and integrate with your key shipping carriers to offer upgraded shipping options.

They can display expected delivery dates, if that information is passed through from the shipping carrier.

They can work with multiple locations, multiple carriers, and work on most eCommerce platforms. They specifically affect how shipping rates may be displayed on your product detail page and on your shipping page at checkout.

Calcurates requires the weight of your product in your eCommerce platform and they prefer if you have dimensions for each product in your eCommerce platform as well.

They care specifically about displaying more accurate shipping rates at the checkout level and product detail page level.

Many customers of theirs work with ShipStation for label generation while Calcurates is displaying accurate shipping rates with their tool. If you have negotiated shipping rates, they can display those through their integrations and platform.

They don't focus on last mile shipping.

Calcurates is increasing your profitability on your shipping rates and costs. Typically shipping is one of the biggest costs to the business, especially when giving out free shipping. But all shipping on top of "free" should be paid in full by the customers. That is the goal. But if you look at how much you bill for shipping at the end of the year, and how much you spend, you typically will see a large discrepancy. Shrinking that discrepancy is the goal here.

Typically your operations team and eCommerce or marketing team are going to be setting up the tool in conjunction. Operations may need to bring in some data on your warehouses and carrieres, whereas the eCommerce team is making changes to how the shipping rates will be calculated and displayed on the site to customers.

They also work closely with agencies to set their tool up for their clients.

They can help with configuration of their software, they do the first 2 hours free, if there is more than that, they charge $50/hr. Typically it takes a maximum of 4 hours to get all of your carriers integrated and configured. Most of the time it can be done with just a few logins and integrations.

Right now Calcurates is mostly focused in the US, UK, and Canada, with plans to integrate more regional carriers worldwide in the future.

They can work in any region by doing manual integrations into your carriers, but don't yet have full integrations for carriers in Asia Pacific (APAC) or Latin America (LATAM). They will add carriers by request, so if you have one they don't work with, just ask.

Calcurates can work for brands of any size, but the issue they solve tends to bubble up more with higher shipping volume.
