Using Carro’s Brand Partnership tool is like going Shopping for products for your store, without a traditional wholesale relationship or any inventory commitments.. And no… no, no no - this is not about white labelled products, drop-shipped from China and degrading your brand.
The retailer is responsible for selling the product and managing communication around the product, including the suppliers’ product. The supplier is responsible for fulfilling on the order, and returns. There is a line added to the invoice that mentions the partner product has been fulfilled by the supplier and therefore the retailer can connect the customer with the supplier.
What’s a Rich Text element?
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
Static and dynamic content editing
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
How to customize formatting for each rich text
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
This tool is a free customer acquisition channel that can distribute your product easily across dozens of other brands. And on the flip-side, you can increase your average order value by providing products you don’t specialize in, but complement your existing products.
They make the process of discovering and listing a product so easy it’s crazy. And it straight up works, for one obvious reason: Your customer needs a comprehensive solution and your business can’t be the master of everything.
There’s also a whole Research and Development opportunity here as well. Not sure what will sell best for your store? Add a few different tools and test it out, see what’s working, then extend the partnership, or yes you could even attempt to source the product yourself.
When you are a supplier, the key metric is sales. This is an additional sales channel that can bring in more revenue. That being said, you may have to do retail outreach (B2B outreach to get placed in other stores), so don’t think of this as completely free. But being discoverable on the Carro Brand Marketplace can bring you more revenue with little work, if other brands like your product.
On the retail side, this brings in higher average order value and more profit to the business. While your AOV could actually shoot up quite a bit, remember it's the profit margin on the product that you take home at the end of the month.
When you add a product, it goes into a collection on your store, which is not live, called Carro Brand Partnerships. From there you can update and approve the product and merchandise it by adding it to a live collection. Once it’s live, customers can buy it.
This is not a magic bullet tool for starting stores with generic products who think they can just get free, instant traffic and sales. It’s not going to work like that.
But if you’ve got traction, and you’ve got a unique product, maybe you can convince a larger brand to list that product and use you as an upsell/cross-sell. That could launch a new sales channel from you.
On the flip side, if you’re selling well but are stressed about margins, or feel like you are only providing part of the entire solution your customer needs, then finding and adding complementary products will boost your average order value, margins, and really make your customers happier.
This tool is free to use. They take a commission on each transaction that includes a product purchased through their tool.
