All about
Txtfi is an SMS marketing tool and “text bot” geared specifically around allowing customers to add products to their cart and check out and repeat purchase via text (you do enter credit card information on a secure page, but the cart is loaded up for you). This is a tool that layers on top of your existing SMS marketing strategy, not a replacement for your main SMS marketing tool.
You can order or reorder directly from text message. They even suggest you change your product labelling to let consumers know how to reorder via text.
Example: Text ‘Product’ to 12345 to get another Product delivered to you. (Somewhere on the back of the product).
Right now this tool takes you all the way through the checkout process right until the moment where you need to click a link to do the final stage - entering credit card information. If your customer is using Shoppay and has it setup with credit card information stored, this will be nearly seamless - the cart comes loaded with the products they want, the shipping they want, and they select the credit card they want. Boom.
What’s a Rich Text element?
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
How to customize formatting for each rich text
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
Most SMS marketing tools are focused on mass marketing campaigns for discounts, sales, or segmented campaigns for abandoned cart/checkout kind of triggers. Here we are focusing specifically on using text as a way to purchase, not as a way to market. By bringing the conversion into the text, you lower barriers to purchase in certain cases, thus increasing conversion rate.
Txtfi increases your repeat order rate by up to 20% or even 25% for some of their most successful brands. They do this by making it easier to repeat purchase via text, going down a sort of choose your own adventure path to complete the reorder process from your phone. And they also increase your first purchase conversion rate using the same process, but through that first contact.
Typically the head of marketing, C-suite, or head of Ecommerce is the one vying for this tool and setting it up.
Setup is fairly quick. You simply need to do the 1-click Shopify install and setup your controls for your ordering and reordering process. You need to configure each product based on things like: How frequently is it re-ordered? How many of this product should be ordered with each order? Etc.
The more products you have, the longer it takes to setup, but you can start by setting up just a few products and test it out, and expand from there.
After you are setup, you don’t really need to do anything. This is a set and forget type of product. You will get alerts when you hit your caps, when you have new products to configure, or if your billing fails.
And soon you’ll be able to understand which products are likely to be purchased together and do setup around cross-sells and upsells.
This is perfect for consumable goods and stores where customers will be repeating their purchase when they run out of your product - vapes, food and beverage, razors, bath and body, etc.
This is less ideal for stores with low product repeat purchase rates - meaning even if they buy from your store often, if they aren’t buying the same products over and over, this is less ideal for you. Fashion and Apparel brands come to mind here - since you don’t buy the same leggings or dress every month.
