Baetes is a 3D modeling, augmented reality, and virtual reality tool that enables your customers to have a whole new experience with the products you sell, all from on your own site.
It starts by creating a 3D model of your products, then uploading the product to their augmented reality tool, and from there the customer can plug into the camera of their phone or their computer.

What’s a Rich Text element?
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
Static and dynamic content editing
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
How to customize formatting for each rich text
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
Baetes has an advanced feature that can build a 3D rendering of your products with just a few photos from you. It reduces the cost per product (to get it live) and reduces the timeline of getting a new product live. From there you can show the product in 3D or in augmented reality so that the user can, for example, see the glasses on their face, or see the couch in their room, etc.
They also have functionality so that you can add the product to your cart directly from the augmented reality view. This feature sits directly on your website, so no 3rd party app installs, no redirects to other websites, etc.
Holy cow! Baetes has seen a site-wide 300% increase in conversion rate for brands that have installed their tool on their site And you will see up to 50% reduction in return rate. That being said, this is clearly a tool that works best for visual brands like home goods, fashion and apparel, etc.
There is a small amount of setup time, where you need to get your 3D models created, get the 3rd party Shopify integration installed on the site, and then test the models to make sure they are performing how you would like (for example, sometimes the colors need to be slightly tweaked or something like that).
3D modeling tools like Baetes can be for stores of any size, which is great. The real question of whether you should be using this tool has to do with the visual component of your products.
Do your products look different on different faces, feet, bodies, or in different homes? If so, this tool helps the customer visualize the product in a new way, which will increase their likelihood to buy, and reduce return rates substantially.
