What’s a Rich Text element?
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
Static and dynamic content editing
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
How to customize formatting for each rich text
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
Edgemesh gives you an additional layer of browser cache, meaning when a visitor loads your homepage, Edgemesh loads the page, and fast! It then uses AI to determine which additional elements should be cached, based on real browsing data.
What does this mean? After the visitor hits the homepage, Edgemesh predicts where they are going next and starts loading that page behind the scenes, so when the user clicks to the next page, it's a much faster load.
They also offer a Speed Impact Calculator that shows you how much you can improve your bounce and conversion rates by increasing your page load speed. This calculator is based on real data that is updated regularly, so it is a crazy accurate predictor.
Edgemesh increases your conversion rate (by up to 20%) by increasing your page speed load time. This directly impacts, and lowers, your bounce rate. Really, every good thing happens on your site when the pages are loading faster.
This is a 3-click setup and install tool, with a few really basic options. You can be up and running in a matter of minutes, and you don’t really have to login to check on anything. But you may want to look at the metrics and understand how Edgemesh is making you money so you can optimize lower performing pages.
Look, there’s a free product that could be nice for all stores, but the real sweet spot here is the 500k visitor/month store, probably a Shopify Plus brand, that is going to instantly feel the ROI from paying $500/month.
