What is Remarkety?

Remarkety is an email and SMS marketing automation platform with robust segmentation and campaigns for every stage of the funnel, built to send messages to prospects and get them adding to cart, and converting.

Their advanced segmentation allows you to send campaigns to customers based on basically any custom data point you need, be it for a specific product, lifetime value, loyalty points pulled from your Smile (loyalty program) integration, etc.

You can create static or dynamic discounts to create time-sensitive offers for each individual.

They have their own product recommendation engine that allows you to embed a product recommendation block into your email campaigns.

They have strong split testing functionality (which you know I love) so that you can improve tests and improve things like segmentation, conditions, and, of course, headline and content. And you can optimize the tests for open rate, click-through rate, revenue, or unsubscribe rate.

With SMS, you can easily add dynamic fields, images, and test send the message to make sure it performs as expected. They will automatically (or you can turn it off) shorten the link and track clicks, and of course you will be able to see conversions. You get $50 free credits to start, which is approx. 5,000 free messages, and you will get a local 10 digit number (fees may apply). If someone replies to your SMS, it notifies the user the message receives and sends a message to your email. You can currently only follow up with them via email.

With their review integrations, you can automatically showcase reviews directly in email.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

What makes Remarkety different than competitors?

Their advanced abandoned cart functionality rebuilds the users cart so that when they click the link from email, it rebuilds the order from cart and can even add the coupon that the user didn’t use, but input, from their previous session.

Remarkety bills on functionality and support, not on email sends, which means if you’re a high volume sender, this tool could be much cheaper than competitors.

What metrics is Remarkety going to improve for my Ecommerce store?

Remarkety is going to improve your conversion and retention rates through email and SMS, increasing overall revenue, lowering abandoned carts (increasing abandoned cart recovery rate), and thus allowing you better communication with your customer.

Who has to manage Remarkety and how long does it take to setup?

Remarkety needs a strong marketer at the helm of their platform in order for you to get the most value out of the tool. This person should be used to setting up email campaigns and creating email and SMS blasts. Most of the platform is set it and forget it, but you will also spend some time testing various headlines, flows, etc, and you should expect to be in Remarkety a couple hours a week to update campaigns and sequences and grab and report on results.

Remarkety can be set up in a few hours, perhaps you will import your flows and sequences (manually) from your existing email service provider, or, if you have to create them from scratch, it could take a little bit longer.

Is Remarkety right for my store?

Remarkety fits nicely for established merchants who are especially looking for easy to implement flows across the entire customer journey, solid split testing, and really strong abandon cart functionality. They work across practically all platforms and have a custom API, so your platform isn’t going to be a problem.

They aren’t as strong for extremely large merchants, over the $100mm mark, as they maybe don’t have all the fancy AI tools you might want at that stage.
