All about
Squareshot is a product photography studio that takes professional photos that optimize your product imagery - reducing costs and maximizing your profit. You outline the details of what you need - number of products, photo angles, reflections/no reflections, wrinkles/no wrinkles, etc. - then ship them the products you need photographed and they handle the rest. Once the photos are shot, they will either send them back to you directly or they can automatically upload them into your Shopify store. The best part about this is that you don’t have to physically be there managing the photo shoot. As long as you are specific in what you want, these professionals will get it done - faster, cheaper and most likely better looking than you could do yourself.
What’s a Rich Text element?
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
How to customize formatting for each rich text
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
The biggest differentiator for Squareshot is that you do not have to be physically present for your product photography, and yet you still have complete input on what you want your photos to look like. Going back to our clothing example, if you want your products to appear wrinkle light or wrinkle free, you have the choice of either having them steam your products prior to shooting them, or relying on photoshopping after the fact. You decide which look is best for your company.
Besides the significant amount of time you will save yourself by outsourcing your product photography, you will also increase your conversion rates, thus increasing revenue. eCommerce stores have to rely primarily on their photos to sell their products. Customers cannot pick up, touch, or feel what you are selling and better product imagery increases conversion rates while also keeping you on brand. Remember, a picture is worth a thousand words!
Typically shooting your product images is done by your creative director, head of eCommerce, or perhaps your head of marketing or yourself as a solo founder, CEO.
For getting setup with Squareshot, it may take a little bit of time to gather your products and create an order, but probably not more than an hour. From there you ship your products, which takes a few days obviously, then they schedule and shoot and you can have your images back in 1-3 weeks.
The time to shoot your products depends on how many products you need photographed as well as the complexity of your shots. However if you don’t have to change the staging or lighting, they can scale up nicely and get more images done in a shorter amount of time. For example, 40 images takes about 5 business days to turnaround, but upping that to 60 images (where nothing changes except the product) only takes 6 business days. You can also pay extra for them to do a 1 day rush on your photos, beginning once they receive the products.
Professional product photography is something any eCommerce company can benefit from, but it is especially big for apparel, accessories and jewelry. These types of products are purchased specifically for what they look like and if your photos don’t match what the customer receives, you will see a lot of returns and higher churn rates. So any company that sells products for style/design/personal expression, needs to make sure their photos are on point. And if you don't want to do it yourself, or don't have the right equipment, then Squareshot will make a great partner.
Alternatively, if you need your product shots to be truly unique to you, then you wouldn’t want to utilize a service like Squareshot. For example, if your brand is based around you wearing the product or the products out in the street, then photos from a photography studio where you are not present wouldn’t work for your brand. Their specialty here is the actual "done-for-you" product photography, with retouching options also available.
